Q0 ("us", "we", or "our") operates the RevTrove software and related websites and mobile/desktop applications (the "Service"). This page explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal data when you use the Service, and the choices you have about that data.

1. Information We Collect

RevTrove remains local-first: your core content (reviews, notes, and files you add locally) stays on your device unless you opt in to sync or upload. We collect only the data needed to provide purchases/subscriptions, login, sync, and support.

Categories of data:

  • Account Information: Email address and authentication information (e.g., tokens). If you set a password, it is stored in hashed form.
  • Purchase & Subscription Information: For web purchases and subscriptions handled by Paddle, and for mobile subscriptions via Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive confirmation of the transaction, the license or subscription status, and the email associated with the purchase. We do not receive your full payment card details.
  • Device Identifier for Licensing: A device identifier or hashed device ID used to validate a license and prevent abuse.
  • Files You Upload for Sync/Cloud Storage: If you use our cloud sync or file storage features, your uploaded files and related metadata (e.g., filenames, sizes, timestamps, optional thumbnails) are stored with our cloud storage provider (e.g., Supabase) to enable multi-device access.
  • Support Communications: If you email us, we collect your name, email, and any information you include in your message.
  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: On our website, we use essential cookies for authentication and to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the collected data to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate you across web, mobile, and desktop.
  • To process purchases and subscriptions, validate licenses, and manage entitlement status.
  • To provide cloud sync and storage so your content is accessible across your devices.
  • To provide customer support and communicate important updates or notices.
  • To maintain security, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your primary application data remains on your device unless you upload it. Uploaded data is stored securely with our cloud storage provider. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties to help us provide the Service. These processors have their own privacy terms.

Examples include:

  • Paddle (web purchases and subscriptions).
  • Apple App Store and Google Play (mobile subscriptions and billing).
  • Cloud storage provider (e.g., Supabase) for file upload/sync.
  • Email delivery/support providers for communications.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax or accounting laws. Uploaded files are retained until you delete them or delete your account.

6. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we apply appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) when transferring data.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data.

You can:

  • Access and update account information from within the app or web.
  • Delete uploaded files or disable cloud sync at any time.
  • Request account deletion and data export by contacting us at support@q0soft.com.
  • Manage subscription or request refunds through the store you used (Paddle / App Store / Google Play), subject to their policies.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications using unsubscribe links where available.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management on our website. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling essential cookies may impact functionality.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date below.
